Description

Brexit could be cancelled if MPs vote down the deal reached with Brussels, the foreign secretary has warned.

Jeremy Hunt is the first Cabinet minister to admit that a 'no-deal' Brexit could be stopped.

He told Sky News that Parliament would "try hard" to prevent a 'no-deal' scenario, with more Brexiteer MPs expected to support Theresa May's current deal.

Arthur Baldwin
Arthur Baldwin To everyone it should be very clear our politicians had no intentions of allowing us to leave the EU. The first thing mrs may does on taking office is destroy a parliamentary majority which would have see this issue passed and sorted. The noses in the trough attitude of politicians who want to preserve their eu perks and pensions just make me sick. A majority is a majority and if they are allowed to ignore a fair election result now how much easier and more tempting will it be next time they get a result they don’t like. It smacks more of a third world despot who our saintly politicians would be fist to condemn. We can no longer trust parliament something i never thought to say of Britain. Cromwell knew how to deal with a immovable parliament and the sods we have now should get some of the same.

bwlboy123 This process was too big, too important and too dangerous to be managed by one political party. If this had been truly democratic there would have been cross party unity and commitment to this from the get go. What has happened is it descended very quickly into in-fighting, jockeying and political point scoring on a grandiose scale which has completely undermined any possible orderly and productive departure from the EU. Our politicians on all sides are a complete embarrassment. Such is the mismanagement, I think the plug should be pulled. The referendum result has been proven to be tainted by breaches of electoral law and should have been declared null and void. Give the people another vote. I felt the UK could be more prosperous out of the EU in 20 years. The political classes are so inept and sinister I think it would take a generation for the average joe to see any real economic benefit. That is a risk no longer worth taking.
